“We prepare our customers
for success in the workplace.”
Those are powerful words for an education system to use, but the Francis Tuttle Technology Center takes them to heart. With programs geared for both high school students and adults looking to develop their skills, Francis Tuttle strives to give their students a solid education to make them an asset in the workforce.
To ensure they are in tune with what is happening in the “real world”, each program department brings in an Advisory Board twice a year to help them develop the program’s curriculum. Who better to ask than professionals in the program’s field to help guide the school in giving their students the most relevant education possible? For instance, the Applied Health Sciences department might ask nurses and administrative professionals in a doctor’s office or clinic to share their insights.
The Advisory Boards are not paid for their time, but they do have the satisfaction of knowing they are helping students, which in turn, will help them by having bright, experienced potential employees down the road. Plus, Francis Tuttle provides them with some pretty sweet gifts!
“People in the community have taken time from their busy schedules to give back to our students,” says Gayla Douglas, Special Event Planner. “This is just one way for us to say ‘Thank you’.”
Francis Tuttle works with ROBYN Promotions to select a variety of effective branded promotional products for each of the departments to use as Thank You gifts for the Advisory Boards. Got a project coming up? Give our Customer Care Team a shout. We like to help!
